Job Description:

As a Curb Builder at Alliance Construction Group, you will be responsible for the critical task of achieving a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish on our concrete surfaces. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a key role in ensuring the overall quality of our concrete projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Job Duties:

Curb Building: Build and finish concrete curb in accordance to plan specifications with minimal supervision.

Concrete Finishing: Expertly finish concrete surfaces using various tools and techniques, including troweling, edging, and brushing, to achieve the desired texture and appearance.

Joints and Sealing: Create expansion and contraction joints as needed and apply sealant to protect and enhance the longevity of the concrete.

Repair and Patching: Perform repairs and patching on damaged or uneven concrete surfaces, ensuring a seamless and consistent finish.

Form Removal: Carefully remove concrete forms after the concrete has set, taking care not to damage the finished surface.

Quality Control: Inspect finished concrete surfaces for defects, imperfections, or irregularities and make necessary adjustments to achieve high-quality results.

Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and excess materials as needed.

Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools, as well as construction equipment under supervision.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Teamwork: Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to achieve project goals efficiently.

All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Curb Builder in the construction industry.

Proficiency in finishing techniques and the use of finishing tools.

Strong understanding of concrete mixing, curing, and pouring processes.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Reliable transportation to the job site.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Valid driver's license is preferred.
